After our initial recordings for the first BS/VD E.P. we returned to the studio to put-down the rest of the tracks for this 'LP' in 2007.
As our own biggest critics, we were never completely satisfied with the original tracklisting, so re-issues followed in 2008 and 2011, which included some new recordings, live recordings and bonus interviews and performances from our BBC Radio Sheffield appearances.
Music videos followed for some of the tracks, most notibly 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us', a Sparks classic which was initially recorded for a charity album called 'A Rainbow Over The Freeway - A Tribute To Sparks' raising money for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.
Initially, with only two Bar-Stewards in the studio, before Alan became an official Bar-Steward, this was two of us honing our craft! The added tracks in subsequent re-issues show BS/VD showing off what they learnt along the way!
The final re-release, in 2011, features an additional 30 minute live set recorded at Sheffield City Hall when we supported Eliza Carthy for the first time (though this is available for free download on the albums page anyway if you have an older copy!).
Nevertheless, there is more Bar-Steward for your buck!
