'EY UP! LET'S GO
(2012)
“Musically confident, classy, cocky and self-assured, The Bar-Steward Sons are the new heroes of our time. Like a South Yorkshire James Joyce, these miniature musical snap shots recreate and offer a realistic and sometimes irreverent view of Barnsley, a definite candidate for the next Capital of European Culture. If ‘Cpl. Kipper’s Barnsley Trades Club Turn’ was the bands coming of age album, and the transitional ‘The Dark Side Of The Tarn’ saw the band establish themselves, then ‘EY UP! LET’S GO!’ sees The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican taking a well-deserved seat at the head of the table, with giant Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings all round. These go to eleven.”

'EY UP! LET'S GO!' is the 5th studio album from The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican and is packed with hits due to be massive in the Ukraine!
A whole year in the making, the album marks a new beginning with the new line-up of Scott, Alan and Andy recording a lot of the crowd-favourites they've been gigging since March 2011.
With its Ramones-esque cover, eight of the twelve tracks take their roots from the 70s music scene featuring punk, glam, disco and pop classics!
The brothers Doonican even managed to finish after Alan departed for a four month absence, travelling the world on his World Domination Tour doing Bar-Steward missionary work! (Alan recorded all of his parts before he left!)
Not ones to rest on their laurels, Scott and Andy have already begun writing new material for album number six, but in the meantime, we know Doonifans everywhere will enjoy this 38-minute helping of Doonican Classics... and if you don't believe us take a listen here for nowt...
